Throughout the year we hold a number of pre-booked special events that have proved very popular. It might be a menu inspired by a specific date, country, city or cuisine. So we've had the usual suspects like Valentine's Day, Mothers Day, Father Day, Christmas & New Year, alongside Italian, Spanish and French themed evenings. Other events have included cooking demonstrations, or visits from a guest speakers followed by a matching lunch or dinner menu.

Jersey Royal potato, pea and English asparagus terrine with wild garlic mayonnaise
Crab risotto with a shellfish bisque
Pan fried venison loin with venison Bolognese bon bons,
Bordeaux sauce, Spring greens and Jersey royals.
Rhubarb and Orange trifle, infused with ginger beer and rhubarb jam
There will also be a wine flight available to enjoy a new wine with each course £15

A light whipped Goats cheese mousse in filo basket with a rich tomato jam and crispy herbs
Brandard of salt cod on garlic bruscetta, pickled Kohl Rabi and fennel
Chicken stuffed with a wild mushroom and truffle mousse,
Jersey royal potato with mint and red onion,
Braised lettuce, peas and broad beans, with a Marsala sauce.
Shortbread mille feuille of Cheddar strawberries, pastry cream and a Pimms sorbet.
There will also be a wine flight to enjoy with each course at £15
On Saturday 16th November The George will be converted into a Christmas Wonderland of artisan makers displaying their lovely crafts and gifts. We will also have many local artists with local paintings for sale, Christmas cards and stationery, Fashion and handbags, Hand made Jewelry, fabulous locally made candles and room scents, Glassware, Antique silver gifts, our home made chutneys, wines and sherry gifts too. Over 20 stalls.
We are open from 10am to 2pm and it is free entry.
We will also be serving mince pies and mulled wine, and lunch will be available from 12, the fires will be roaring and the Festive tunes playing to get us all in the mood
